Chef Esteban Azofeifa fell in love with cooking at a young age in south Florida. He moved to Jacksonville in 2012 to pursue his passion in becoming the Chef he is today.
The Story
Chef Esteban Azofeifa started cooking at a young age in south Florida and fell in love with the craft. In 2012 he moved to Jacksonville, Florida to pursue his passion. He has worked in many style kitchens and alongside great chefs who have inspired who is he today.
During 2020 when challenges swept the nation he was furloughed and used his time starting his own business, staying true to his roots, El Cubano JAX was born. El Cubano JAX started on a hot dog cart vending for different bars and breweries, also popping up at events throughout the city. El Cubano JAX grow with the support he received from the amazing Jacksonville community that allowed him to operate in a brick and mortar shop inside of Lemonstreet Brewing Company until their closing.
Chef Esteban pivoted quickly and is now operating SUBpreme JAX, Food Truck, he has expanded his menu and will be popping up around the city!
